Parents of Rhino rollover victim may sue Yamaha

spencer rollover 100x100Earlier this month we reported the story of Wyatt Spencer, a 13-year-old New York boy who was killed when the Yamaha Rhino 450 he was driving rolled over on top of him. Now the boy’s parents, Jim and Bonnie Spencer, are meeting with attorneys to explore the possibility of pursuing a lawsuit against the manufacturer.

Texas woman seeks damages for injuries sustained in Rhino rollover

texas arkansas line 100x100A Texas woman who injured her right leg when the Yamaha Rhino she was a passenger in rolled over is taking the manufacturer to court, claiming that the UTV is “defective and unfit for its intended use.” The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in the Texarkana Division of the Eastern District of Texas, accuses Motor Corporation, Manufacturing, and Motor Company of “strict liability, negligence, and breach of implied and express warranties,” according to the Southeast Texas Record.

Rhino rollover claims life of 13-year-old boy

wyatt 100x100Yamaha Rhino safety upgrades urged by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission back in March weren’t enough to save the life of 13-year-old James Wyatt Spencer of Knox, N.Y., who died last week when the 450 he was driving rolled over.
